Mr. Loomis
Mr. Loomis's ties to Cherry Creek Academy (CCA) go all the way back to when he began as a student in 4th grade. After graduating 8th grade from CCA , attending high school, and obtaining his Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Linguistically Diverse Education from Fort Lewis College, Mr. Loomis returned to his alma mater, CCA. He serves as the 5/6 Math teacher and also coaches athletics and runs the Mathletes Program at CCA.
Mr. Loomis' teaching philosophy centers around the cooperation between teachers, administrators, and parents to achieve the goal of ensuring every child learns and excels to their fullest capability. As a teacher, Mr. Loomis fulfills his role by instilling knowledge in his students through supportive and motivational instruction. Mr. Loomis also works to ensure that the specific learning styles of each student are being met and differentiates his instruction to meet individual student needs in order to make sure all of his students receive the education they deserve.
