    • Have your reading stamina built to 30 minutes - with any book that you LOVE reading

    School Supplies

Order school supplies before our back to school night so you feel ready and prepared!  We will spend that evening organizing our supplies and ensuring that you have everything you need to be successful.

    3rd Grade

What an incredible night last Thursday!  The art was beautiful and the singing and instruments were lovely.  What a wonderful culmination for our arts program!  I hope that everyone loves the artwork coming home this week and that our CCA families enjoy summer break.   Our 8th graders will be greatly missed but sure to find success ahead.  Everyone else, I look forward to seeing you all next year!

Library - Mrs. Lanyi

    May 22 - 26, 2023

I can' t believe the end of the school year has arrived! I have really enjoyed working with 3rd graders this year and can't wait to see everyone again in 4th grade.  All library books are due. If books have been lost, they will need to be paid for, you may submit cash, a check made out to CCA, or you may pay on RevTrak - click on the lost library book tab. Please feel free to email me with any questions at slanyi@cherrycreekacademy.org

This week we will listen to our final read aloud of the year and will talk about summer reading opportunities.  The students will have the chance to play the board games and use the STEM materials.  I hope that you all have a wonderful summer!

Music - Mrs. Glosup

  • In May, the 3rd grade music class will learn about 2 last composers.  First up is Copland, and his words “Fanfare for a Common Man”, “Rodeo”, and “Simple Gifts”.  The last composer of the year is Rimsky-Korsikov and his music “Scheherazade”. 3rd grade is continuing our work with recorders!  Students have been showing their success with the recorder by proceeding through belt tests with recorder karate!  Working with recorders allows us to learn music notation in a practical way.

We are looking forward to our Spring Music Festival!  We will have 2 separate programs that evening, dividing the K-1st grade from the 2nd - 8th grade. This is to ensure we respect the time of parents and students.  This document has the information that you will need to know about this event!

    Date: Thursday, May 18, 2023

    Time:  K-1st Program 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
