Our Efforts
Cherry Creek Charter Academy (CCA) is devoted to providing equitable access to digital media. We allocate resources, establish roles, and manage vendor relationships to ensure digital compliance under Colorado House Bill 21-1110 (HB21-1110) and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Cherry Creek Academy is committed to making its website accessible to individuals with disabilities, in compliance with the US Disabilities Act. These efforts align with the State of Colorado's initiative to provide inclusive and accessible services.
Remediation Process
- We employ tools such as Allyant and Grackle to scan and remediate non-compliant PDFs, Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, subsequently allocating time for their correction.

Website Compliance Plan
- CCA to use accessibility tools to scan website for compliance.
- FinalSite AudioEye continuously monitors the CCA website to ensure conformance with WCAG guidelines and reports on any issues.
- The AudioEye Help Desk allows site visitors who encounter any accessibility issues to communicate directly with AudioEye.
- CCA will resolve PDF issues as needed.
- CCA to resolve reasonable website issues.
- Finalsite has integrated Google Translate with CCA’s website..
Application Compliance
- CCA created a Grievance Form on the Accessibility Page to allow those with compliance issues to contact the school.
- CCA to document a list of current applications and vendors with compliance status.
- Vendors to be in compliance or CCA will follow the State undue burden documentation process.
Staff Training
- CCA will conduct annual staff Accessibility training.
- CCA will incorporate Accessibility training with onboarding of new hired employees.
- CCA will provide annual training to staff.
- CCA participates in HB21-1110 Coalition to support HB21-1110 HB 24-1454 compliance requirements.
- Staff involved in creating website content attend regular updates and strategic meetings to track progress, such as the HB21-1110 Updates and Issues with the HB21-1110 Planning Coalition Monthly Meeting.
Documents and other Digital Resource Compliance
- CCA integrated Grackle to check for accessibility issues for Google documents and slides.
- CCA uses Canva as a way of checking the accessibility issues for documents and resources.
- CCA will remediate accessibility issues with Adobe Acrobat Professional.
- CCA staff to attend PDF Remediation training from Grackle PDF.
- CCA provided helpful links and resources for all staff members.
Ongoing Support and Oversight
- CCA will continue to research and implement new resources to support accessibility features pertaining to the website and all published materials.
- PDF remediation with Allyant.
- CCA has completed all published Student, Parent and Staff Handbooks.

Compliance Documentation

- CCA currently uses several vendors and third-party applications created and maintained by vendors and third-party providers.
- CCA will work with these providers to make sure they are meeting or moving toward accessibility compliance.
- CCA will continue to evaluate and research providers to ensure contracted services are the best available to fulfill accessibility needs.
