Admissions FAQ
What is the admissions process at Cherry Creek Academy?
Cherry Creek Academy is a waitlist school, which means that your child will need to be on our waitlist to be offered a spot. To join our waitlist, please complete a Waitlist Application at your earliest convenience. Please note, your childs position on our waitlist is based on the time and date your application is received.
You will receive a receipt of your application upon completion. Please keep this document for your records. In addition, you will receive a confirmation email from our Admissions Director within 24 business hours. If you do not receive a confirmation email from our Admissions Director, please email admissions@cherrycreekacademy.org. Once your application is received, your child will be placed on an age-appropriate waitlist. Cherry Creek Academy has a separate waitlist for each grade level. You may email admissions@cherrycreekacademy.org to update any information regarding your application or to receive an update on your child's position on our waitlist.
How do I add my child's name to the waitlist?

May I have a Tour of the School?
Our school provides both public and private tours. Please visit our Tours page for more information regarding public tour registration, dates, and times. Private tours are available for families who are being offered admission to Cherry Creek Academy and will receive directions to sign up in the child's admission offer.
Does Cherry Creek Academy charge tuition?
Cherry Creek Academy is a public charter school within the Cherry Creek School District and, therefore, does not charge tuition. Charter schools are funded in the Public School Finance Act, along with all other public schools. Charter schools receive per pupil revenue (PPR) on the same basis as other public school students enrolled in the district that granted its charter except that districts may retain up to 5% of charter school students’ PPR for actual administrative costs.
Charter schools are subject to all State and Federal provisions prohibiting discrimination and must enroll students in a non-discriminatory manner. Although charter schools are public schools, they do not have the independent mill levy override and bonding authority that school districts use to finance their capital facilities. To the extent state funds are not available to support this cost, operating revenues are used to pay for these costs.
