I am Shannon Hackett and I live in Greenwood Village with my husband and three children. I grew up in Parker, Colorado and attended Colorado State University. I studied Interior design and after nine years of decorating homes I went back to school to persue teaching. I received high honors from the University of Phoenix in Elementary Education.  I worked at Pioneer Elementary and Frontier Valley Elementary before having three children within 17 months. I became a stay at home mom, doing small design jobs. In 2019 I began tutoring children and began co-teaching first grade this last year. I am excited to continue teaching first grade at CCA. 

 

I believe that the classroom should work as a team, where each student feels they have something to offer the class as a whole. I teach independence and facilitate students to work on problem solving skills. I believe that all children can learn at the highest level and they learn best with a teacher parent partnership. I have high expectations for my students and want each child to reach their full potential.
