Jesse Branson (Coach Branson), comes to Cherry Creek Academy from Quest Academy in Ogden, Utah, where he taught PE, weight training, and coached flag football and cross country.
Coach Branson earned his BS in Physical Education and Health from Eastern New Mexico University. While serving in the Army, he graduated with his Master of Science in Kinesiology from Indiana University before teaching in the Department of Physical Education at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
Coach Branson played college baseball at the College of Southern Idaho and Eastern New Mexico University. While baseball is his passion, he is a connoisseur of all sports and fitness. He believes that physical fitness is important for everyone, especially kids! Regular physical activity builds strong bones, helps control weight, reduces stress, and much more!
Coach Branson is married to his college sweetheart, April, who is a social studies teacher at Chaparral High in Parker. Together they have three children. Isabella and Mia are both in college, and Luke, who is a sophomore at Chaparral High.
When he is not busy with Luke’s sporting events, Coach Branson likes to golf, lift weights, hike, ride his mountain bike, and read a good Stephen King book.
Coach Branson is beyond excited to be joining the team at Cherry Creek Academy and is looking forward to getting to know all of the awesome students, parents, and staff that make the school great!
