Staff Profile

Hi!  My name is Dev Doyle, and I am thrilled to teach another year of 3rd grade at Cherry Creek Academy!  This will be my 3rd year at CCA and my 4th year teaching overall. Previously, I taught special education for grades 3-5 in North Carolina.  I graduated from college in the spring of 2020 with a dual degree in early childhood and special education. I have had the opportunity to spend time in a multitude of classrooms and age groups, ranging from pre-k to 11th grade, as well as spending time in behavioral and autistic support classrooms.  

I am originally from Pennsylvania, about 2 hours north of Pittsburgh. I spent a few summers + a school year living on the beach in the Outer Banks, North Carolina, and then I moved to Colorado in the summer of 2021.   I have not looked back since!   

Outside of school, I enjoy walking my Bernese mountain dog Nala, visiting farmers' markets, reading, journaling, cooking yummy food, and spending time with friends.  I also enjoy traveling and exploring new areas, restaurants, and places to visit! 

I am excited about this upcoming year!  I can’t wait to watch your child grow and build a strong partnership together for your child's learning.   

Teaching Philosophy

My goal as an educator is to create a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment where students will feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, and pushing themselves.  I focus on the journey of learning and celebrating the growth of every child.  We also work on social-emotional skills that practice communication and self-advocacy, whether it is academic or social related.  I believe that the teacher, student, and caregivers work together as a team to ensure a child’s success.   

I will be here to celebrate every victory your child has this year - no matter how big or small; as well as be there to guide them through anything they may need.
