Description of Cross Country:
Our group does long distance running and competes in different races across the Denver area.
Coach Wong:
Ms. Wong is so excited to be returning for her 3rd year as the cross country coach. Ms. Wong started running in middle school and hasn’t stopped since then! In high school she competed in varsity cross country and track, and was the captain of both teams her senior year. In college, she was coached by Steve Thiessen and ran personal bests of 5:12 (1500), 20:45 (5k), and 24:38 (6k). After college, Ms. Wong started training for marathons and has successfully completed six so far. Her personal best is 3:21:51, which actually qualified her to run the 2017 Boston Marathon! Ms. Wong is so excited for this upcoming season. Her hope is that she can push the team to grow even faster and stronger this year. Looking forward to a great time together!
