STUCO

STUCO is Led by Mr. and Mrs. Oldani

Mr. Oldani is the lead advisor for the Student Council and has been working with the group since 2023. Using experience from studying governments, democracy, and economics throughout history, he pushes students to think about the school as a business or government and to consider how they can best lead the school community while upholding democratic principles. His biggest goal for students in the Student council is for them to understand the impacts that they can have on their community and how to actively pursue a positive influence.

Mrs. Oldani is the supporting advisor for CCA student council and has been with the group since 2023. Using her experiences from DECA and working in E.C. program development prior to becoming a teacher, she supports students in creative planning, event design, and business organization. Her biggest goal for student council members is to build confidence in their skills and contributions to a large group and community effort.

STUCO Description

Student Council is a group of students whose classmates elect to represent them and general members who help with event planning and function. We focus on leadership in the school and local community and push students to be positive influences in the world they live in.

Schedule

Student Council meets regularly on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:30 in Mr. Oldani's room to discuss ideas and plan activities for the school. Some things the student council might do include:

- Organizing school events like dances, spirit weeks, and fundraisers

- Giving students a voice in school decisions

- Promoting school pride and community

-Representing the student body at PTO meetings

Being in Student Council is a great way for students to develop leadership skills, get involved in their school, and make positive changes. It allows students to have a say in how their school is run and to make a difference for their fellow students.

Cost

There is no cost associated with STUCO.
